What’s the difference between 「から」and 「ので」

Hi, let’s talk about 「から」and 「ので」today!
Do you know how to make good use of them?

First of all・・・ Let’s see the basic grammar.
They indecate a reason and a cause.

Long Form / Short Form + から

Preasent affirmative of なAdj/Noun short form⇒

(EX)
時間がありませんからないから)、テレビを見ません。
⇒(Because I don’t have time,I don’t read the newspaper.)

Long Form / Short formので

Preasent affirmative of なAdj/Noun short form⇒

(EX)
用がありますのであるので、早く帰ってもいいですか。
⇒(Can I go home early because I have something to do? )

Now let’s see the detail of difference between 「から」and「ので」.

①Stylistically,「ので」sounds slightly more formal than「から」.

②「~から」subjectively highlights a cause or a reason ,while 「~ので」objectively a cause and effect relationship as a natural course of events.
So ,as the use of 「~ので」softens the view of the speaker ,leaving a weak impact on the listener ,it is often used to express a reason gently , to ask for permission or to make an excuse.

(EX)
日本語が分からないので、英語で話していただけませんか。【にほんごが わからないので、えいごで はなしていただけませんか】
⇒(I don’t understand Japanese ,so would you please speak in English?)
